Panchakarma

Panchakarma is the most complete detox treatment of Ayurvedic medicine.

Good health depends on the balance of the primordial elements in the body, they constitute the so-called doshas, the biological moods. The Pitta dosha is formed by the fire and water elements, the Kapha dosha by the water and earth elements, and the Vata dosha by the air and ether elements.

Panchakarma is designed to purify the entire body, eliminating accumulated toxins.   It is a complete cleansing that makes it possible to restore the balance of the doshas in the body, through a specific diet, therapeutic massages, sauna, use of medicinal herbs and purges. This ancient science also covers the most subtle, emotional and mental bodies, restoring harmony between them. Treatment effectiveness depends on the willpower to maintain physical and mental purity throughout the process.

This treatment includes five main procedures:

VAMANA - therapeutic vomiting - cleaning excess Kapha dosha (lung and stomach)

VIRECHANA - therapeutic purging - cleaning of excess Pitta dosha (liver and small intestine)
BASTIS - cleaning enemas, nutrition enemas and oiling enemas that

treat excess Vata dosha (colon)

NASYA - purge of the sinuses and nostrils.

RAKTAMOKSHA - Purification of blood. According to Sushruta Samhita, blood is the only Dhatu that looks like a Dosha, but it is not because it nourishes and circulates throughout the body. OBs .: WE DO NOT APPLY THIS PROCEDURE.

Other procedures included in Panchakarma applied by us:

SNEHANA - daily internal oil
SWEDANA - individual therapeutic sauna
MARMATHERAPY - Stimulation of neuromuscular points in the whole body.
ABHYANGA MASSAGE - circulatory / detoxifying massage
LOCALIZED MASSAGE - massage located on the internal organs.

SHIRODHARA - Flow of medicinal oil on the forehead. Treatment for anxiety, mental confusion. It provides a deep meditative state, harmonizing the mind.

The great advantage of this process is that it can be administered to both healthy people and those who suffer from some pathology. When Panchakarma is made in a healthy person, it has a preventive, restorative and rejuvenating effect on the entire body.

"The pure therapeutic procedure is one that cures the disease without causing another."

Routine

Panchakarma is a long treatment that starts at home, following a preparatory diet that facilitates the detoxification process.
The complete treatment lasts between 14 and 21 days. The number of days and the natural medicines used will be established according to the needs of each person. It is an individualized treatment, according to the imbalances of each dosha. For example, there are cases that are contraindicated to perform some purges.

Panchakarma is divided into three stages:

Purvakarma

It mobilizes toxins, taking them to the appropriate place where the body will expel them. It consists of Snehana,Swedana and Massages. The body's preparation for purges.

Panchakarma
The purgation itself. When the body is ready, we perform purges.

Rasayana
the post-treatment that includes diet, rest and recovery routine. At the end of the application of therapies, the therapist will prescribe recommendations for food, exercises and specific daily practices for the person, to be followed for at least 3 months.

DINACHARYA

During the procedures, the person will follow a restricted diet, light and easy to digest, so as not to create more toxins. During this period, interiorization practices are recommended, cultivating a peaceful and meditative environment within yourself, directing vital energy towards self-healing. Silence, meditation, readings that elevate thought and spirit are examples. Light yoga practices and breathing exercises are highly recommended.
